With over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, Crysta has seen many different types of people, hair, growth patterns, hair textures, and a lot of damaged hair.
She strives to improve the world by creating an organic space to create beautiful, healthy hair, customized for each individual, focusing on bringing out their natural beauty and enhancing it with organic hair color and all natural products.

2017 - Continues to see more clients, training assistants and even being in Downtown Tulsa, able to keep her haircut prices under $100
2016 - Moved to a private, personal suite on the edge of Downtown Tulsa, Historic Greenwood/East End Village District, with large windows, providing natural light, on the bottom floor of a Live/Work Unit ~ An all organic experience, working with assistants to help provide hand massages, shampooing, deep conditioning treatments and blowdry styling services.
2015 - Charles M joined the salon, seeing his long-time clients and providing lessons and education for the assistants with Vidal Sassoon cutting techniques.
2014 - In January, the lease was signed in the Florence Park Neighborhood. The day had finally come for Composure to open it's own doors, moving just a half mile down the road to 21st & Harvard, next to one of Tulsa's oldest icons - Brownie's Hamburgers.
~In April, Composure Organic Hair Color Salon opened at 2140 S Harvard in Suite 118, working with Human Skills & Resources renovating a space. Local plumber, electrician, HVAC, demolition, carpentry, cabinetry, flooring, ceiling, Everything that could be done by local workers - WAS!
Composure's stations were even picked up in Dallas from an Aveda salon ~ recycling keeps our prices lower and more out of landfills. Our wall of mirrors were custom cut after also being recycled to create our unique open atmosphere, along with our retro hair dryers used for processing our color line - Organic Color Systems.
2012 - Introduced Organic Color Systems into Composure, and with the new line came more time. And with more time, should come more cost, but she wanted to be able to charge the same. So as business grew, Crysta began training assistants, working within The Beauty Loft, to help ensure adequate attention and time was given to each and every client.
2011 - Moving to a space at 21st & Columbia (midtown Tulsa) would better suited for ease of access to more of Oklahoma and renting 3 chairs in the salon The Beauty Loft.
In 2010, the young Irish/Native American girl met an organic vegetable farmer from Oklahoma, and he showed her a different path, a new way to live life better. No more corporate, fast paced, "45 minute spot" salon life.
The journey began renting 1 chair on Brookside dedicating time to creating beauty.
Space was rented, working alongside Charles M, from California, born in Hungary, Vidal Sassoon Trained.
2009, 2010 - Achieved Senior Stylist Status, charging $55 for Female Cut & $44 for Male Cuts. Has goals of having an assistant.
2007-2009 - Server Polo Grill (fine dining) while working as an assistant
2008 - Ihloff Salon & Spa (Aveda Salon in Utica Square, Tulsa) - Assistant Internship
August 2007 - Moved to Tulsa, OK
2006-2007- Mentored & worked under a female barber and owner of Headquarters Salon in Burlington, IA
2005- completed 2100 Hours of Cosmetology Training (18 months) in Burlington, Iowa at Dayton's School of Cosmetology
